Corsair SP120's vs Arctic F12's

Same boat here, H440 user.

Found the F12s better that my Noctuas at cooling my radiators. Haven't tried the corsair fans before, but they are a lot of money and won't do more than a couple of degrees at best.

I would change to the SP120, yes I know they are static pressure but due to the resistive flow in this case these should work better that the AF120.

I was doing some experiments last night and found you get considerably more airflow if you remove the mesh strips on the top and front panels of the case. They are attached by crosshead screws.

Seeing as I cannot see the back or front mesh I have removed them and left the visible strip in.

Removed these myself, haven't noticed a great deal of difference but then again unless I completely removed the front cover and dust filter I don't have a chance of cooling

If you want fans that are good at focusing airflow at certain points/areas of your system. Consider the silverstone air penetrators. Excellent in situations like xfire/sli where you want to push air between the cards.

Setter loves his penetrators :p
