I've been messing around with the legendary fusion rifle I got a few days back, and oh lordy am I hopeless in PvP with it.
The damage I do with fusion rifles just seems really inconsistent. I was a few feet behind a player earlier and it took two direct shots at close range to kill him, with the first only taking away his shield. The next was a throwaway shot from medium distance which was a one-hit kill.
I agree on the aspect that you need to lead targets and in some cases pre-charge when you know you're about to run into someone but the random damage seems bizarre.

Lady luck smiling on me tonight. Levelled up to Lvl 10 with the Cryptarch, went to get my reward from the Postmaster and got 2 Legendary engrams. One of them decoded into a Legendary Warlock Helmet (no use to me I know), and the other into an Exotic helmet that looks like something out of Rome Total War.
Not sure if hitting Lvl 10 had anything to do with the rewards being good. Either that or I've used up my luck for the next few months!

It's not random, each 'shot' fires out a number of bullets. If you're taking two shots to kill someone at close range then you are missing with most of them. Most of the time if you hit with the entire volley then it's a kill shot if you're within 10-15ft

Well me and Gord are probably both up for trying the raid on Xbox.
That's 3 of us. Cam, Danc and Milky would make 6.
I've just been trying the last raid boss with some guys on xbox but we couldn't do it. Most were level 27/28 and one level 26 but the non teloport team attacking couldn't do enough damage. Got a legendary engram drop which of course turned to mush. 
Roll on tomorrow when I can finally get some new shoes for my hunter.

I'm going to persevere with it but I'm not remotely happy about it.
A few hundred swear words later and I'm half way. I honestly don't know why I bother, the weapon isn't even that good

Done the first 2 strikes now and both with only 2 of us which is annoying! Doesn't seem to add a third player if they drop out? But i swear i have joined mid strike once or twice
