Inspired by another thread but I am just curious.

All of us will have the paper disc in our windscreen at the moment if taxed.

From the 1st we no longer need to display them. Will you take them out on the 1st or leave them in till the date expires?

Just interested on how others feel about it, it kind of feels wrong to me as the disc has been some kind of proof/receipt you are road legal.

It'll stay where it is until I happen to be in the car and remember it doesn't need to be there anymore.

That'll probably be when I next get around to properly cleaning the inside of the screen, so that's probably February.

I'll leave it in till it expires because no doubt when it's parked up somewhere, I'll get some busy body writing a note and placing it on the car threatening to grass me up for having no tax.

My tax runs out at the end of the month so it'll probably go on the first! I forget about this and was wondering where my new tax disc was in the post.

Renewed from the 1st October so I've not got a new one coming. Two things spring to mind though:
1) I wonder how long until a nosey neighbour or do gooder tells me off for not having a tax disc?
2) Where am I going to put my parking permit? It currently sits in the business card slot in my holder.

Out, replaced with work parking pass which is currently just rolling around the dashboard.

Was planning to delete (that's right) my tax disc on the 1st, but as above, I park on the road for work in a residential area, and will probably end up with a note from someone who has nothing better to do.
