Oh yeah I know, but unfortunately during the boss fight outflanking them involves running into giant gatling gun and rocket range and getting pancaked :(
 
I actually completely forgot about this until somebody in our fireteam mentioned this last night, where do you get the exclusive playstation content? You know like the Hawkmoon hand cannon, Monte Carlo auto rifle or aurora lance ship etc. Few threads on the internet suggest by completing the exclusive Dust Palace strike you get these items but I've cleared that strike a few times now on the vanguard playlists and I've not seen 1 of the items, is it a case of these items are just added to the loot tables for the playstation version and drop randomly? or have I missed something?

Stick at it, it does take ages , just keep doing bounties , patrols on and off or they get a bit boring

Im about 34 hours game time and I'm about 300 rep from rank 2, if I had concentrated on vanguard rep I would have got it a lot earlier I guess.

You get Strange Coins from doing daily/weekly heroic missions and strikes (it says under each mission/strike what reward you get), and once you get to to level 20, instead of leveling up after a certain amount of XP, you earn a Mote of Light (it says you XP progress if you hover over the 'level 20' bit in inventory).

Also you can get Motes of Light from blue (decoherent) and purple (legendary) engrams.

My routine is to log on, Pick up the daily bounties as they gain Vanguard Rep when you hand them in which is important. Do any random events that pop up nearby whilst you are doing the bounties.

Then start on the strikes to gain more marks. Remember that you can only earn 100 marks per week and the reset is on Tuesday morning.

You could also do PVP but I really suck at that so I don't bother.

You do realise that that means you can only buy Vanguard stuff then, nothing from Crucible nor Factions would be available to buy then...

PvPing 100 marks a week isnt hard really - probably less of a grind than PvE

How many strange coins do you need to buy most stuff?

I think I have about 9 coins so far.

I'm glad I'm nearly at rank 2 vanguard rep I badly need to get some better armour and eventually better primary weapons.

I know that. However, I cannot adequately how bad I am at PVP. It's not just that I die a lot, I have no idea it's coming. I spawn and 'Boom' I'm dead.

Nothing makes me feel older than PVP. I just know that the person that just one shotted me is 12 years old. I used to be that young person killing the noobs. Now I am the noob.
 
So frustrating getting legendary engrams and having 90% of them turn into either strange coins, motes of light or rares.

Tell me about it , I got 2 for the first time yesterday a helmet engram which turned into a rare and a special weapon which did turn into a legendary shotgun but I don't really use shotgun.

It was nice to finally see some purples though!
