any thoughts on this? someone in the industry recently said vram is going to be vital and 3gb might not cut it soon enough.

I had no trouble with three at 1440P.
4K on the other hand. Some huge banding / stuttering issues in games like Battlefield 4 with Ultra, even without MSAA applied.
You're right on the limit there. Least with that many cards

Maybe it's just games coded badly.
I've seen those issues with one card in BF4 at 1080p![]()
Coded for console then ported over with as little work as possible to get it out the door.
3Gb going forward is not ideal going by WD/Wolfenstein, all titles are still playable with reduced IQ if needed though.
lol wasn't just BF4, various other games. Totally gone on Titans
