I have just had to RMA my GTX 970 - could not get my machine to boot with it in.. strange problem... anyway spoke to a guy at Overclockers who was very helpful, told me to send it back..

What's the crack after they receive it back there tomorrow morning. will i have to wait while they send it back to the manufacturer and get it fixed? or do i get a refund?

thanks

Best to ask in the Customer Service forum.

Ok my bad sorry,

Never had to send anything back in like 5+ years to overclockers.. so didnt know.. how does that forum work there are no posts, do you know?

thanks

I would have said just rma and say it wasnt working and quote DSR but its no longer the case. Dunno if they still do the 14 day satisfaction guarentee or not but u could try that route for a refund then buy another card.

With rma tho ocuk seem to like to send the cards back to manufacturer for some reason instead of dealing with it themselves as they are the retailer the contract is with them not the manufacturer so it shouldnt really be any of concern to the customer if they wana send it back they still should either refund or send a replacement. Least in theory they should.

Post a message in the cs sub forum to deal with them more direct if you want, theres some good guys in there like 5ub who have good cs.

Whats ur hardware setup, as in is it recent and up to date driver and bios wise? If its a old mb and u had a old gfx card the bios may need updating on the motherboard etc.

You can only see your own posts.

Just post your query and someone from OCUK will get back to you.

I've used it before and found the response time to be pretty quick from the OCUK guys.

All my drivers are up to date. pc is only 18 months old, built it and never had any problem with it all...

tried other video cards today and they all worked fine all 3.. just my new one would not boot up the machine.

I checked all the minimum specs needed for the card and my pc has all the required hardware..

Well i have sent it back now, just wanted to know if anyone knew how long etc if it broken..

Cheers, ill ask in the other forum

Unless things have changed, if you RMA with 28 days you get refund or replacement.

After 28 days it's repair or part refund at sellers discretion.

Posting in the CS sub forum is the quickest way to sort things out I've found.

Within 28 days either full refund or replacement from OcUK, if it's beyond 28 days then the product will be sent to the manufacturer for replacement/repair.

28 Days / Acceptance Period

You are entitled to reject goods if they are faulty (do not match the description, are not of satisfactory quality, or are not fit for purpose). You have up to 28 days to check the goods and contact us if there is a fault. You can decide to claim a full refund or request a repair/replacement.

If you are returning for a refund, please include all packaging, cables, manuals, drivers and protective bags. Accessories and promotional items are part of the order and must be returned to ensure a full refund is given. Free games codes should be unused and still hidden.

FYI

I RMA'd a graphics card on Tuesday last week, they collected it via DPD on Wednesday, it arrived on Thursday with Overclockers, they tested it, replicated the issue and sent a replacement that night and I had that on Friday.

Yep same experience as above, you can expect a very quick turn around from OcUK.

Just out of interest are you running the latest BIOS on your mortherboard?

Cool thanks, Yeah i am 100% they will sort it for me one way or another.. just my luck forst time i can actually buy a good one on release! :)
