*** Sony Xperia Z3 Compact ***

My Nexus 5 is the max size I could go to, I've played with a Z2 and its just too big for me. All the rumours for the next Nexus are pointing to it being larger, and I'm willing to bet the battery life wont be better too.

The move across to the Z3c will not be very painful considering it's extremely fast and fluid and has a memory card slot. The best thing about it though is the insanely great battery that I'm looking forward to. Tell me about it, the Nexus 5 is a joke when it comes to battery life! I have to laugh when people say it's actually quite good, as they are fooling themselves! :p
 
I've never used one to be totally honest, I have one for my N5 but have never got it out of its packaging as the cheapy plastic protector did the job. At 5.99 I thought it was worth a punt. ;)

There have been a few times where my battery drain has been stupidly high for no reason at all and by the sounds of it, many people here seem to suffer this problem.

I think switching to ART fixed my issues.

And with android L, we should get a 30-40% improvement iirc.


Obviously the z3c is going to blow away the n5 and most other phones when it comes to battery life though.

It probably will in technical terms, although the slot was designed to fit Z1, so Z3 might be too skinny and harder to align properly. Similarly priced DK48 was designed to fit Z3/Z3 compact.

So I guess the secret behind the Z3 Compact's great battery is coupling a large battery with a 720p screen but how does the Z3 manage so well?
