Hmm let me see, ***** 8 grand on a 4 grand car that I can't afford
But I've got to enjoy it right..

Err no actually, you need to get to work, take your daughter to school and live life.

Buy a £500 quid shed like I have and deal with it!

Yea sure I have deluded ideas about buying cars I can't afford but that's all they are at the moment DELUDED IDEAS. I haven't actually signed my life away on one..

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, bailed myself out of it and LEARNT A BLOODY LESSON

It wasn't "abuse", it was fact.

You can terminate a regulated finance agreement, hand back the vehicle and walk away at any point after having paid more than 50% of the amount owed back. It's the law.

Did not know that. What if you crash the car, does that work with the settlement figure?

I didn't ask u to tell me how to live my life and spend my money which I earn!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure you were going to mention money.

Money has no bearing on making a good buying decision.

Being informed does. That was my point.

Assume what you like. We both know our life are worlds apart and like I said it's quite easy isn't it sitting there not having to worry about a thing and then telling people they should making better buying decisions. Well done to you on being a very lucky boy in life.

It's not really like that though is it.

You have the internet just like everyone else so why would he have an advantage in terms of research and information?

To be fair you admit you've cocked up so fair play. Sounds like you'll look into it a bit further next time you need to buy a car :)

? Do we live on the same planet???? Most people have Internet in UK. Doesn't mean we can all go out and buy very rare expensive tuned up cars!

I could have researched and bought a micra but it's a horrible car. Reliable? Yeah but who in their right minds buys a car based on that?

I've not bought a Ferrari! It's a bloody mini. Millions of people have bought them.....that isn't the point of the thread.

I suggest that people stick to the thread and not my personal matters or why I've chosen to buy the car in the first place.

It's getting a bit silly now.

People with poor credit, no money to buy a new car/pay for expensive repairs and who need a reliable cheap car?

Then after 4 years, instead of paying £177/month for a car which will be worthless by the time it's paid for, you have £8k to spend on a nice shiny car :)
