PES 2015

Impressed with the PES 2015 demo especially after the disaster that was PES 2014. Looks like the addition of their London studio has paid off with instant results, It's been ages since PES has been this good. PES 6 was the last truly great PES game I played and while I've stuck with the series every year since, FIFA has absolutely been the better game since 2006/2007.

FIFA has become too FUT focused which is great if you're after that more arcade like gameplay experience, while you spend more of your time on the off the field operations and trading experience. Obviously it appeals to millions of people, I'm not one of them however and I've played FIFA for 19 years. The focus has gone away from delivering the best sim experience they can possibly deliver with the technology they have on offer and resources are all going into FUT. There are always gameplay improvements of course, but that comes to the game as a whole. Modes like clubs and seasons don't get enough attention for a player like me.

Looks like PES 2015 has the potential to fill that void and sway a significant share of gamers who are after that simulation experience! I'll still play FIFA 15 a lot as it's a great game, but there's no denying FUT is now EA's and the FIFA teams main focus. The rest of the modes suffer because of it, therein lies PES's opportunity.

No way are EA too focused on something which makes them more money from the little kids. ;):D

;) Still annoying that the other modes don't improve as much as the could do. The potential there for clubs and head to head seasons... and yet we get tiny little changes. It's taken them 6 years just to bring individual animations for virtual pro's and even then only for set pieces and penalties.

If only PES had Club :(

Might get both if demo is good

They do have something like clubs haven't really read up on it this year, but I believe there is something similar or they have finally decided to have an open lobby system at least this year so like the pro clubs lobby, if not a full on team and points system like Clubs mode.

Today i've been flicking between Fifa 15 demo, PES 15 demo and live stream of Fifa 15.

i keep coming back to PES 15, its just more fun and rewarding. Will stop my preorder of Fifa 15 tonight, wait and see what happens.

Dedicated 11v11 Lobbies: Makes large-scale multi-player games more fluid and easy to set up.

Also that link you posted, you can control def/mid or attack so 3v3 type stuff or 2v2 while only controlling portions of the pitch. Probably a separate mode or lobby once again. But at least the functionality is well built in the game this year. On top of just 11v11 ?

Cant wait to give PES a go, was a fifa convert after it decided to go down hill all those years back. Any idea of the licenses it has this year? Has it still got the CL license?

hipsters.

Try the game Robert and you will see for yourself Its great. People will still buy fifa regardless as there hooked to FUT and EA have some magical way of making people buy crap. e.g BF4.... cough Fifa cough.. I was victim to this crime.....

Not really one of the best things PES did was how they did the Champions League stuff - FIFA is far more consistent and polished across the board though, but no way is it perfect - I think most people are more frustrated with the minimal amount of upgrades between versions than anything. Main reason why I always try out PES, any decent competition is better than none for both FIFA and PES fans...

I'm loving PES, it feels like I'm playing a football game more than the FIFA demo does (if that makes sense). This looks more realistic than the cartoony FIFA does too, imo. Can't seem to keep my shots hard and low though, any tips ?
