Impressed with the PES 2015 demo especially after the disaster that was PES 2014. Looks like the addition of their London studio has paid off with instant results, It's been ages since PES has been this good. PES 6 was the last truly great PES game I played and while I've stuck with the series every year since, FIFA has absolutely been the better game since 2006/2007.
FIFA has become too FUT focused which is great if you're after that more arcade like gameplay experience, while you spend more of your time on the off the field operations and trading experience. Obviously it appeals to millions of people, I'm not one of them however and I've played FIFA for 19 years. The focus has gone away from delivering the best sim experience they can possibly deliver with the technology they have on offer and resources are all going into FUT. There are always gameplay improvements of course, but that comes to the game as a whole. Modes like clubs and seasons don't get enough attention for a player like me.
Looks like PES 2015 has the potential to fill that void and sway a significant share of gamers who are after that simulation experience! I'll still play FIFA 15 a lot as it's a great game, but there's no denying FUT is now EA's and the FIFA teams main focus. The rest of the modes suffer because of it, therein lies PES's opportunity.
