Hi everyone,

I'm looking for help from people who already bought graphics cards below, if they could tell me what is the actual length of each card:

Gigabyte GTX 970 G1
Asus GTX 970 Strix
EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 (04G-P4-2974-KR)
MSI GTX 970

The reason why I'm asking is that I have CoolerMaster CM II case and maximum lenght of GPU is 304mm. Now with regarding to some of this cards I read different details on different website - for example I read that G1 is 315mm long, 297mm and 287mm. Obviously 315mm is way too long and will not fit, however 297 or 287 is fine. The same going for Asus - one website listed it at 305mm when others stated less.
Any help would be welcome

Im curious in this also, as google has provided different results for me too. The G1 is my first choice card but it is about 1cm too large for my current case if the largest measurement is to be beleived. The MSI version is apparently shorter and by no means a poor second, but is currently out of stock and i was hoping to collect a card this weekend.

Every millimetre counts, ahem.

Google is your friend:

Here is one to start you off - http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5209#sp

Thank you for that. Problem what I have is that for example Tom's Hardware is saying card is 297mm long (from slot panel to end) http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-970-maxwell,3941-5.html

so that's almost 20mm difference. 20mm which could possibly allows me to mount this card in my case, hence my question.

Is there any website with dimensions of Asus? Guru3D claimed in his review that card is 'around' 30cm long. Again is it less than 30cm or just above.

The MSI is just a touch too long for my case at 27cm I believe so you should be fine with that.

You can't trust manufacturer sites, techpowerup database or the other site that helps with compatibility in my experience as they listed the powercolour by PCB length, not total length.

If you want a rough idea, take a picture of the card and working on the basis that the main part of a pci-e slot is 8.5cm you can work it out roughly from there.

Same reason why I went for the MSI and when I can be bothered to actually open it I'll be able to see where exactly the 269mm is measured from.

Troubling really I've had the card since Tues 23rd and I haven't even opened the DPD bag yet. Been waiting so long to buy a new card and although after 2 years of waiting, it's something I wanted but really I don't actually *need*.
