You can trade anything with your other characters by putting the items in the vault on one character and getting them out of it with another. Only armour cant be used on other characters.

Marks and Rep are unique to the character. You can also run the daily/weekly/raid on every character you have to get rewards.

Thats what I plan. However can you still buy armour for another class or is it weapons only?

I believe the class vendors are the exception to that rule, but the selection will be limited.
 
Are the legendary weapons only usable after a certain level? If i bought a legendary weapon with my level 25 character then put it in the vault, if i start a new character can i use that weapon immediately or only after say level 20?
 
So I had 2 messages from other players telling me to leave the area as I was slowing down loot cave version 2's spawning. Politely told them to shove it as I was doing patrols and you know, playing the game.

Its not like its a confined area like in Skywatch, its half the bloody Rocketyard.
 
Was really enjoying this game until i got to level 20, im now at level 24 and it seem all there is for me to do is the same old strike over again. not picked up a single legendary item. tried the cave farming thing but standing shootingn at a cave with a bunch of other people for hours seems boring as ****, Im not a fan of crucible, how else am i supposed to gear up and get legendary items? all this farming seems random and based on luck, starting to loose intrest haven played it for a couple of days now and its a shame because i was really really enjoying it.
 
yep level 18-20 for most good things. just started a 2nd hunter for strange coin purposes. i only obtained 18 upto yesterday and couldnt obtain anymore to get to 23 and buy Suros Regime from Xur - bit gutted as its the best PVP AR in the game.

smashed the raid yesterday with my platoon in about 1 - 1.5 hrs, we did stop and get the 2 chests and kill a gorgon though.

cant get enough of this game right now

are you doing the strikes on higher difficulty - they reward u better. the 28 nightfall is a beast. Are you doing the daily heroic and weekly heroic? There is queens bounties/missions to do to rank up queen rep which i hear will be useful later in the game, specially if there is a raid in the reef. You could also rank up your vanguard and faction rep. Queens missions reward legendary armour after every strike - the more bounties u do the more missions you get. Theres the raid too but id wait til 27/28 to do that.

The cave has just been nerfed so farmings all but pointless if thats all you were doing no wonder you're bored. The rare/legendary engrams are being buffed to reward better too, along with cryptarch rewards.

maybe come back after the next patch - im failing to see how anyone is bored right now

I think you miss the point that up until level 24 its easy to level up without trying or thinking what you are doing as level 20 rare drops are plentiful.

Its when that normal grind (what effort you put in comes out) changes to either luck on getting legendary drops or conscious changes in how you play the game to maximise the chances of buying legendaries through marks. If you haven't had the forethought to ensure you have the right rep level or looked into what you want to buy it can be a pain in the ass falling over that revelation.

I got stuck at level 24 once I fully upgraded all my level 20 rares so can appreciate that people start wondering where the fun went and left frustration. Its a very distinct change that some just won't like and some will endure for the eventual benefits.
