Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

Starting to get a bit concerned there's been no news on XBONE resolution, performance, etc. and all the reviews so far have been PS4/PC only.

First world problem, but I can't get on with the dualshock controller for these types of games but don't want a second rate experience.
 
I was gonna get this, but with Alien, Super Smash Bros and Driveclub coming out, this may need to take a back seat :(
 
Some of the actions do look identical to AC you're right. I think it looks pretty good, watched the video tecman showed me. I think I'll bite when I can get for closer to £30.

Amazon have the x1 version listed cheaper then the ps4 so if its not got parity the price to buy now reflects this erm ... Hmmmm so is the ps4 at 1080 60fps or has niehter been confirmed? Also I care more for screen tearing.. that's what bugs me the most

Not heard of exclusive missions on ps4. it's a single player game, so it's not like get this on the platform your mates are on, so if you own both looks like ps4 is at the moment the go to platform for this one unless you hate the ds4.

£54.99 on psn pre order , ouch ... digital games are so much more expensive..

The PS4 version had some exclusive missions for pre-order where you battle 2 extra warbands.

Actually no idea why I was considering the Xbone version I'll pre-order this on the PS4 now :)
 
So should I preorder the special edition or standard edition? Not quite worked out whether the dark ranger skin comes with the special edition too or if the SE perks are better.
 
If they can't get it running properly on Xbox isn't that their fault? I know the PS4 is more powerful, but other developers have managed to get enough juice out of the Xbox to run at 60fps.

I don't really care about 1080p (I only have a 720p TV), it's just 60 fps that I want/expect from my Xbox.
 
Not really that's the problem with deferred rendering opposed to the older forward rendering we are trying to move from. Its far better for allowing more lighting and more realistic reactions to lighting.

Problem is that once you start using deferred rendering XOs eSRAM becomes too small to be a framebuffer very quickly. There's a reason why we are seeing such unique resolutions ;)

Guess people will have to hope forward+ gets popular sooner rather than later I guess. I'm sure they'll work out a way to spilt the framebuffer over DDR3 and eSRAM but gonna take a lot of skill...

Wow, 900p 2 30fps vy 1080p at 60fps? That is pretty bad...
