Queens wrath is easy - just keep quitting the mission it gives you until you get the one on earth thats based upon the first level you do - but just with all the enemies doing lots more damage.

Its one room with a handful of enemies in which you can easily solo. After that its just about a rocket launcher to take out the archon that comes out of the wall.

I normally take cover up the stairs into the other room as the enemy don't follow you, this way you can regain health.

Those harpy robot things are lethal if you take a few hits from them.

most of the queen missions are pretty easy tbh, I think the only one that I've had to quit is the black garden one. obviously I'd keep doing the earth one if it kept coming up but I just try get on with what it gives me.

I think the only place to get it is as a reward for vault of glass. You can only get one reward a week and that reward may not be raid armor - it could be an exotic weapon or something else.

Do you get guaranteed loot at the end of Vault of Glass? Or is there still a chance you'll end up with nothing

Aye, the first Queen mission I got was the Garden, died like 3 times so gave up. Didn't realise it changes till I felt prepared again a day later and got the Devil Archon mission. 10min breeze.

From personal experience I've only ever gotten a helmet, chest plate and sniper from it. You can't break down the weapons for the ascendend materials anymore and the stuff you get is pretty mediocre in the first place compared to other loot out there. I don't believe that it requires a patch at all.

Could get nothing but a shader.

I was lucky and got an exotic machinegun, legendary scout rifle and the shader. Only other drops in raid I've had were ascendant stuff, a raid warlock bond and a piece of raid armour...

Still a lot to get from raid for me still!

Ah I see, cheers. Well at least I'll be Lvl 29 already then I can work on any Raid gear I get 1 at a time. Luckily, you could grind out al lthe upgrade materials you need, then only equip it when handing in bounties to level it up so you don't have to downgrade your level initially.

So guess the Raid content is deff something I need to get onto ASAP.

Yeah, its a bit of a troll, as you need to get your level up to do well in the Raid, but also try and save your shards. Then hope that you get Raid gear dropped and start upgrading that.

I got quite lucky as leg and chest dropped for me in the Raid, but I already had a fully upgraded chest. So now I either equip Raid gear when handing in bounties or in lower level missions where dropping from 28 to 26 doesn't make any difference.

Must admit I'm surprised it worked, but its not that big of an issue - the gear isn't all that great and its random what properties it has.

What level would you recommend before attempting the raid?

Also, i still have that level 20 gun they give you once you level up, think i should get a better gun before attempting?

best to be lvl 26 for the raid. you deal massively reduced dmg to anything that is a higher lvl than you. lvl 26 is relatively easy to obtain without raiding, save up vanguard/crucible marks and buy legendary armor from vendors in the tower.

weapon wise, you will want fully upgraded lvl 20 blues (242 atk) as minimum, and a decent void dmg weapon in your setup somewhere.

Anyone know when the vanguard marks reset for strikes etc.? the 100 limit is pretty low for a week, I think I had them within 2 days. the only thing left after you have 100 is queen missions/bounties/raids really.

we've done the raid for 2 weeks, and pretty sure we saw 0 armor drops so far for anyone XD

i wouldn't worry about reaching lvl 30. it's probably going to take a very very long time. as soon as you are 28, you can do anything the game currently has to offer (pretty much) so getting lvl 30 will only help with preparing for the 1st expansion pack, although, tbh, I'm half expecting them to raise the original lvl cap of 20 anyway, because there will be a new planet to clear.

also, you get a lot more than 1 reward a week, there are lots of chests inside the raid for clearing certain parts, and the bosses both drop loot. the 1st boss also has a bonus loot drop if you protect all spires from Vex successfully during the initial stages of the boss fight.

When you rank up the Cryptarch, it sends you some engrams to the postmaster in a package. If you keep that package in the Postmaster til after the patch, then open it after, there is a good chance you will get some legendary engrams, which will be guaranteed legendary items..!

It will work in theory because you do not recieve the engrams until after you open the package. Dunno if Bungie will have some backup plan to prevent this or not.
