When you rank up the Cryptarch, it sends you some engrams to the postmaster in a package. If you keep that package in the Postmaster til after the patch, then open it after, there is a good chance you will get some legendary engrams, which will be guaranteed legendary items..!

It will work in theory because you do not recieve the engrams until after you open the package. Dunno if Bungie will have some backup plan to prevent this or not.

They clearly state the patch only applies to freshly dropped engrams.

Item Changes
Ascendant materials have been promoted to Legendary to closer associate them with the gear they are used to upgrade
Legendary Engram items that exist in your inventory will be demoted to Rare quality when the patch goes live, so decode them while you can. But let’s be honest--even if you don’t, we all know they were blues already...

In theory they would be fresh, since you only receive them when you open the package. Even if what you get from the package is already determined by RNGsus, it would still be fresh in terms of the engrams you get.

This, I wish I kept mine.

I'm going to lay a £5er down that legendaries and above will be like rocking horse poo when the patch goes live. So either way you're never going to get them :p.

PS: Bungie should compensate everyone for each legendary engram the Cryptroll shafted us on.

Is there a cap on how many vanguard and crucible marks you can have? I know it's 100 per week which resets on Tuesday's I think, but can you earn and keep as many as you want in your inventory?

Beat the boss in the first earth mission earlier and I picked up some device called nfs device or something like that, but I can't see it anywhere in my inventory.

Anyone else picked this up and know what it is?

Story item, it's the warp drive for the ship you get. Allows you to get to the Moon.

Story item isn't it, something to do with the warp drive on your ship.

Thanks guys that makes sense.

By the way does anyone get the odd random server error disconnecting them from there fireteams?

That was happening to a friend of mine yesterday, but his connection was being rubbish anyways. Was online with some OCUK'ers after that and no-one had an issue. I've only disconnected withever that Lizard Squad decided to ruin everyones day and bring the servers down.

my internet has been fine I think so it must have been just a random server error:confused:

I was just exploring Earth on patrol a bit, doing a few missions and bouties and ran up a path in the rocket yard area, I came to a new place called King's Watch. Can't get in, but it looks like a completely different area to go explore, but locked off for now.

200 - needs to be increased ASAP...

ps3ud0

That's silly, I don't understand why they've capped everything. Purposely holding you back, it's annoying!

but he's not talking about engrams. He's talking about packages at the postmaster that technically aren't engrams yet. They get turned into them, meaning as far as the game knows, they aren't an engram yet.

Worth a try I reckon.
