Same here. I've managed to get New Monarchy to rank 2 and I've spent most of my marks on gear there. Got quite a few Vanguard marks piling up but not much rep. My focus will be getting NM rep up to rank 3 to unlock everything from the faction. If I am maxed on Vanguard marks by then so be it!
 
Getting a bit peeved with the exotic hand cannon bounty cant seem to keep in the positive, cant find a decent fusion rifle nor rare and when i try and get kills dont do enough dmg then someone steals my kill

PVP bit? After several days attempting PVP, I'm now on a grand total of 7. I've given up until I can get a void primary gun - which will be never.

The way I did it was using a void damage heavy machine gun in control, then gun them down every time they go for a capture, I averaged about 4-6 kills before I either ran out of ammo or they eventually out numbered me.

It only took me a single evening doing it this way, I did have a fusion rifle as well for when I didn't have heavy weapon ammo, but by far the majority of the points did come from heavy weapon kills.
 
Dinakin what are you character wise? You might have a void class so other things apart from your weapons would count. I got stuck around 440 but think I did it after 15 crucible games, found the fusion rifle rather good after hating it initially...

Hog heavy ammo drops!

I am regretting it a little as many vanguard stuff looks good when the stock updates. I don't know, maybe it's the grass is always greener syndrome.

Still, at least I've got a legendary primary from my 2nd Legendary Engram. I've seen many people with armour but still no weapons yet. I shouldn't complain.

They cap the amount of currency you can hold so when new content is released, you can't instabuy a full set of the best gear on day 1. Pretty standard feature in MMO's. I don't know why you would save up 3 pieces of armor worth of marks anyway? Weapons are 150 alone, do you already have a decent primary / secondary / heavy legendary weapon for every situation? With all 3 types of elemental dmg?? I capped out my marks every week and there's still a **** load of gear I wanna buy, let alone the improved sparrow for 175.
 
Grrrrr, was doing nightfall fine all on my own, about to end and i get discounted from the servers :(

Anyone else getting server problems?
 
Got this game recently, enjoying it but have a question.

If I just want to solo the story mode and nothing else, what is the best way of keeping my level going up at the same rate as the quests?

I just finished the moon missions, I am level 9 and a bit, and Venus missions are starting from level 10. How can I boost my level from 9 to 10 relatively easily?
