Is anyone using a Lamptron FC2 to control a DDC pump?

I´m asking because I tried to control my pump and if I leave on maximum 12V it works, but if I try to lower the voltage the pump stops instantly.
I got my voltmeter to test and I notice that the 12V doesn´t drop the voltage, instead the ground voltage raises when you lower the speed.
I know if you get 12V on positive and 3V on ground.. you would get 9V at the end, so why is the pump stopping?

It is a normal Laing DDC with 3 pin (12V, Ground and rpm sensor)

Actually it was molex 12V and ground and a separate rpm wire, but I removed the molex connector so I could plug the pump on the 3 pin connector.

I have mine connected to a Lamptron FC5 controller, are you sure you have its wired correctly.
Mine can be adjusted from about 6v upwards, anything less and it stops, its the 3 pin version as well.

Yes I´m sure, otherwise it wouldn´t work on 12V.
Do you know if the FC5 drops the positive 12V voltage or it raises the ground voltage?
