Palit GeForce GTX 970 JetStream or MSI GTX 970 GAMING

For what it's worth i'm extremely happy with my MSI

Boosting to 1584 at the moment, 60 degrees and very quiet.

I've been wondering the same thing as the OP.

AFAIK, MSI comes with the afterburner software which is easier for overclocking. But I guess there's a way to overclock the Palit too?

You can use MSI AB with the pallit as well. In fact, I highly recommend that OC software over any of the others.

If I was buying today, I would go for the MSI. If you have any issues, they are quick with RMAs and without gaming for a spell, that would hurt.

I've been asking myself the same question OP; after reading reviews I've concluded that they're both good cards, but I'm going with the MSI.

Palit card is limited to a 106% TDP which holds it back so you won't see 1.5Ghz boost clocks very often.

Where as 1.5Ghz+ is quite common on the MSI.

Old thread I know but it looks as if the Palit Card is now limited to 110% TDP

Lots of high clock reviews and GURU3D did the same

Oh and of cause the big MSI 970GTX fan twitch issue ;)

Not sure if it's as big as it's being made out, they have sold literally 10's of thousands of these cards, yet only a handful of cases.

im pretty sure all cards twitch but really it makes no diffirence as its inaudible, and its not going to spin under 60 anyway.
