What is the point of showing these benchmark comparisons with beastly CPUs? The area where mantle shows a massive improvement is when you have a high end GPU and a low/mid end CPU.....
I really should do a benchmark comparison at some point to show just much better BF 4 runs with mantle compared to DX on my rig, difference when in game is literally night and day, DX is just simply unplayable.
edit:
Just seen that matt has edited his OP.
I wonder how some of the 700 series cards would perform under the same conditions as on those charts if the drivers were not over 2 months old.
I'd love it if they were, they're running Intel CPUs
Would be funny if even AMD didn't use AMD CPUs!
Oddly enough mantle results are a good bit lower than d3d in this.
5760x1080 d3d
Average FPS: 36.9
Minimum FPS: 5.4
Maximum FPS: 374.4
5760x1080 mantle
Average FPS: 15.9
Minimum FPS: 7.5
Maximum FPS: 25.1
Wow, those max fps took quite a hit. VRAM issues at that res?

Even at 1080p I only get around 53 fps, and for some reason mantle seems to disable supersampling even when its turned on in the options the benchark txt reports it as being off.
Could be the drivers, ive not updated to the latest ones yet.
Use 14.9 WHQL Gerard as this driver is recommended for Sniper Elite V3.![]()
Performance is still pish in mantle with the benchmark thread settings, new driver got me the following at 1080:
Average FPS: 52.3
Minimum FPS: 17.6
Maximum FPS: 73.1
And as said according to the benchmark txt file it reports supersampling as being off when its turned on in game.

Is it worth running the benchmark with supersampling off in-game/options and see if it changes the score?
See if it's just an error with the text files (results different) or if it's actually disabling supersampling (results are the same).
According to matt theres no crossfire support for mantle yet so its in single gpu mode currently which explains the fps, doesn't explain what's going on with supersampling though.
