Inno3d ... Hard to research

I've been a returning customer to this brand purely do its cooling prowess , and outstanding build quality. but I always find it a pain gaining useful information on the Boards it uses. Some say there custom/semi , some say there just standard reference boards , having stock 2 x 6 pin power connectors would make me believe it could be reference but it ups the phase count compares to reference boards. So I don't know , my 780ti DHS appeared to be a reference design with no modifications but again I'm unsure as that was a £600 quid card so you would think it would be custom. I've pre-ordered the new airboss ultra 980 , and am seriously struggling to find more information. What I do find is the usual cut and paste poo and about half a dozen German / Deutch websites that Google has a paddy translating. will those 2 x 6 pin solutions restrict my OC on air if lets say I get a golden bin ? My 780ti needed more voltage to go further so didn't run into that problem.

Where do people rate inno3d compared to the likes of EVGA, MSI and gigabyte

I've also not dealt ever with their support and put that down to outstanding build quality but incase I ever do anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks in advance

inno3d are an old brand, they have been going absolutely years...

I had an inno3d card, an 8 series if i remember correctly, and it was a fantastic card

only thing is, they don't make many cards now, well unlike msi which will make serveral cards of the same version etc... but i trust inno3d...

if you have been a loyal customer, just go get one!

I had a pair of Inno3D Voodoo 2 cards, they still work.
I had a pair of Inno3D 9600GT cards, they were great.
I have a pair of Inno3D GTX970 cards, they are also great.

Hi there

Inno3D, Zotac, Manli, Colourful and Sapphire are all part of PC Partner group, truly huge! :)

Same here mate, I've got the 780ti DHS.

Trying to research ir was a bloody nightmare and I found the website pants to be honest as well as dog slow?

The card on the other hand is epic, I can beast it and it doesn't flinch or get remotely hot.

Out of interest, did you get the Tuneit software with yours? Apparently it comes bundled with it but all I got was a generic nvidia driver disk.

Yeah , all I basicly fount out was it was based in hong kong lol . yeah it was seriously a beast , mine clocked to 1288mhz and stayed there solid. and never got above 68c!

no , I thought the same with tune it 2.0 , whats funny is , you cant get it from their site but yet they advertise it, infact , even for there new airboss series . infact I actually couldn't download it anywere! I have a feeling code was stolen from other tools or something was hella bugga and it was pulled. but I check reguarlly for it , I don't like precision and wanna try something different compared to afterburner.

Inno3D are based in Hong Kong and one of the oldest Nvidia partners AFAIK. I certainly have never had a problem with any of their cards although it has been years since I used them TBH.

Gibbo,

Shed any light on this Tuneit business? Advertised as being bundled and shown on their website but seems rarer than unicorn poo!

I didn't even realise there was meant to be tuning software with the two I got... Was going to try out the EVGA one tomorrow :D

The 970 PCB is quite probably reference and definitely different to the similarly sized Zotac. The Inno3D cooling is better I think but the lower fan limit of 37% means its never totally quiet at idle. The logical reason to go for either is the small size for when you have a mini itx case for example. If you have the length and height then cards like the MSI seem to score well with other users.
