Does DSR enable 4K 120hz then?

Could a kind soul with a 980 and say Battlefield try this for me? I have an Eizo 120hz and i want to downsample Warlords of Draenor especially because it has gone deferred lighting and FXAA. And I do not find BF4 4x enough personally either at 1080p in forests.

I know frame rates will be harsh but i just want to know can you do it at both 1400p at 4K and is it going to be something with a lot of hassle involved? Certain games need to support it right but i think a fair amount do? There must be someone curious out there that wants this on Pandaria and BF4. :p

@Neil, slightly off topic. But is this similair to bf4's own built in resolution scaling? Im thinking of trying it as im interested in how 780 sli will run at 2560x1440. My current monitor is a 1920x1200 model but looking to step up in res soon.

Scaling system is the rendering resolution. I'm not exactly sure of the abitry values p and what they mean , but scaling up does increase rendering res , 200% I'm sure is 4k , it does cripplle performance massively so Im going to try DSR when my 980 arrives as my 780ti @ 1188mhz couldnt do it fluidly , possibly because of vram

I would say so :)

This is using a ROG swift

No idea why but i cannot get it to go in close to read the OSD. But hey it seems you got 4K @ 144hz working perfectly? Tell me if so did you do it without GFE? You should remove all your forms of AA like post AA and MSAA and motion blur to 0% and do a compare of it versus your old res + MSAA.

I heard you can just use basic driver and set it to say 4x sample at 1080p and get 4K by just selecting that as your res in the game along with your refresh rate as it will become unlocked? Then you can fiddle with the filter or smoothness between 15% and 33%? I had a look at both and i think 33% might be a touch too soft but 15% seems a touch too sharp as well. And i cant check if you can set it to a cutom number like say 20%.

Did it via control panel using Dr 344.16

Whilst I was able to set it 4K@144hz, I found it unresponsive no matter what settings I used.

Couldn't get DSR to work in Sli:(

Tried 150% res scale and dropped msaa to zero. Game runs great and looks stunning. Though the increased workload does add a few c to my top card. Hit the 79c throttle limit and dropped boost to 1110, (normally 1124).
