2560x1440 1 970 or 2?

60fps is plenty for my needs, heck my monitor only has a 60hz refresh rate! I was tempted by 2 at first, but now thinking it might be a waste of money for me.
 
Until very recently a single GTX 770 was considered good enough for 1440p so l don't see a single GTX 970 struggling.
 
For 1440p60 a single 970 should be fine for most games. I manage just fine with a single 780 and aim to average 100 fps due to an overclocked monitor.

Plus you can always get another 970 if you aren't 100% happy, it'll only cost you a couple of days for shipping.
 
1440p is a lot more demanding than 1080p so I would say 2 :p

Can't even max Crysis 3 (60fps min) with 2 at that resolution but most games should be pushing 80+
