I don't consider Samsung to be the threat in this instance. Having looked at the latest Xperia Z3 and Z3 compact I would say they are real world contenders against the iPhones. Sony has really put some effort into these phones - simply beautiful hardware.
Yes, and then I went back to Samsung, personal preference mostly, both great devices, but I guess I'm just too into android/touchwiz, and I missed some of the features that iOS did not provide
Mostly customization of the GUI and the ease of transferring media onto the Phone/SD card. If we're talking hardware wise I missed the AMOLED screen and battery life the most.
Does TouchWiz actually have any benefits over stock Android? Whenever I see an S5 I'm shocked by how slow and laggy the interface is relative to the speed of the hardware, and how it's indiscriminately crammed with unnecessary features which usually just duplicate Android's stock functionality.
TouchWiz looks and feels like it was designed by a twelve-year-old.
