Which is why l just added another to heat the house and keep my rig going for as long as possible :)

Nope.

There is absolutely no way that AMD's current cards fully support the entire DX12 feature set. It'll support it, but not the full feature set.

Spare a thought for Nvidia high end Kepler users, going off that logic, they are down body parts too.:D
 
It wasn't to long ago the 290x was selling for 900-1000 usd so AMD have had their money out of the chip however they have their work cut out matching big green in terms of power draw to fps performance.

In terms of value though a 290 at 220 is good value considering the games bundle that's thrown in which will apper to gamers more then the minority of enthusiasts that occupy these boards. The 970 may be my next card as my 670 waterblock fits it.

Fully agree, the best part for us the customer is the choice of high end cards for a decent price, unless l get carried away with the next AMD release l should be set for a while..........:eek:

We all know that GCN as well as Fermi and Keplar support DX12. What we also know is that new hardware is required to fully support some of the new feature DX12 brings to the table.

Do you not think AMD would have been shouting from the rooftops if GCN supported these new features that Maxwell brings, surely it would have been a majour PR coup for them to tell everyone they already had this functionality, while Nvidia had to roll new silicon.

Why would amd on there Blog and at the Event Demo DirectX 12 FULL SUPPORT? if it didn't fully support? how can they say FULL and Demo it? if like you say it dont support it?

AMD are saying they Fully support DX12, till its proven wrong I going with that. can you find me anything that states the R9 series dont support what you saying?

That was the retailers price gouging. AMD were not making that money.

AMD would just say DirectX 12 support, why the "FULL" if it didn't fully support it.

He not making any sense.

it clearly says from amd ​Full DirectX 12 compatibility promised for the award-winning Graphics Core Next architecture

why are u having problems understanding that

I sell on as a loss anyway, and even give my parts away to friends and family.

Cashing in on something isn't anything I care about. £100 a GPU i'll be happy.

It was the mining craze that gave a shortage on AMD cards. The retailers who had stock were simply cashing in on the shortages and even AMD Roy was pleading with the retailers to lower the prices.

They buy wholesale at X price and it is then down to the retailer what they are sold for. When there is a shortage and demand, they can up their profits. Common business practices.
 
Great news!

Not to mention by the time you pick the most expensive games and sell them on, you will get at least another £40-50 of! :eek: Most definitely the best bang per buck GPU available now.

Pretty pointless arguing about dx 12 being a huge feature. When is windows 10 due and how long was it till dx 11 games came out......
