Nice so they care more about people debating the topic than giving their customers the best experience. Imagine a PC dev limiting their games to 30fps because not everyone has the hardware to run at 60. Fantastic way to **** your customers off and get less sales.

This is purely nothing more than them being lazy and just not bothering it, veiling it that they couldn't be bothered to work to optimise the game in any way.

The story is actually all BS. They can't say.. "well Microsoft is paying us for exclusive marketing and parity, so we are gimping the PS4 version."

No they need a less inflammatory story...

What rubbish, MS are nowhere near this.

This has broken promises fake screen shot Ubisoft all over it.

Sorry but that's naive. They could enable 1080p without needing any further optimisation as the PS4 simply has the grunt to handle it relative to the XB1. The CPU bottleneck story is just more BS.

No, I have worked in the industry and have friends currently working in canada and the biggest titles. They would HAVE to work hard to optimise it, simple as, so they arnt bothering. That goes for both consoles.

Also, just take the history of things Ubiosoft have said they would deliver, and what they ACTUALLY delivered, tells you everything. This is them using a line to give them an out to why it wont look as good as what they previously showed.

Also, PS4 "simply" does not have the grunt, as seen in many other titles released to it, its still has to be heavily optimised.

So do I, and game res is something they can make changes to very quickly. Basically if XB1 can do 900p, there is no way in hell PS4 can't just be set to 1080p and perform like XB1 at 900p.

I don't think you know what you are talking about, you cant just drop a similar game to a different res like this and expect it to work perfectly, thats total nonsense.

No offence but obviously there are just some things you don't want to believe no matter what.

Due to low level coding consoles enjoy, they don't need that much CPU power. Just look at the difference mantle makes.
Also boosting res stresses the GPU, but hardly the cpu. Besides the PS4 CPU benches higher than the XB1 anyway...

I find the cpu bottleneck totally believable. It's been said from the start that the cpu that both use is pretty naff.

If it's CPU bottlenecked then upping the resolution to 1080P on PS4 will be more or less free due to the extra GPU power, it sounds like Ubisoft just don't want to lose Xbox One sales by shipping an inferior version that gets snubbed.

As a PS4 user I'll be sure to get this on PC now and even then only when it's cheap.

I'm glad that people are kicking up a fuss because as a 1080P TV owner I don't want this to become a trend just to appease Xbox owners.
