Hi Guys

It gives me great pleasure to announce UK availability of the Antlion ModMic from Overclockers UK.

The Modmic is a fantastic device designed to turn any headphones into a gaming headset easily.

The Modmic uses a strong adhesive mount which is magnetic and holds an adjustable mic boom to your headphones.

This is the ultimate in clipon microphones.

We are listing the latest version of the Modmic which benefits from a lot of improvements over the original concept.

We have Modmic in stock now with the muteless version and additional base clasps coming very soon.

here is a nice overview of the product

My partner in crime TwsT has been using a Modmic for around a month now and will be along shortly to give some feedback in the thread.

Heard a lot about these, held in high regard by a lot of gamers. Was tempted to buy one direct from Antlion a while back but they were never in stock.

Great addition :)

I have been using one of these for a little over 2 weeks now.

Set up was easy and according to the guys on team speak once I sorted my levels and boost out voice was clear and easy to understand.

I have the mutable version I use PTT so it's kind of pointless but the mute works and doesn't seem to send a ringing signal that some mute buttons can do.

It's incredibly light doesn't add anything to the weight of my Phillips Fidellio X1's
The clips are easy to remove and easy to clean the glue off.

It lacks a bit of noise cancellation may detect a lot of noise if you game in a noisy area.

Has definitely cured my issue with clip on mics but obviously comes at a much greater cost than a clip on mic.

The only issues I have with it is that the cable looks a bit naff has some kinks in it due to how it's packaged and having two cables flapping around my desk is annoying especially given one looks premium and the other doesn't all minor things that I am getting used to.

Think I will fix the cable to the under side of my desk to make it tidier.

I have traditionally wrapped mic cables around my headphone cable - keeps it out of the way, and also happens to use up any excess cable length without looking too cheapo.

Those are epic, I was looking for one a while ago and the availability in UK was tragic, now I am using 4 quid microphone from amazon + 2m extension + bit of thick hard electrical wire and works :) but I might get an upgrade soon for this, I like that simple design...

How could I use this for AKG K712 Pros on the Xbox 360?, Also got the Astro mixamp etc.
I guess you'd plug the mic cable into the pink jack on the Y-splitter that comes with the mixamp, and the headphones (assuming they're 3.5mm) into the green one.

Can fully recommend these, props to you OcUK for getting them in stock finally!

Installation is a breeze, you just use the included alcohol wipe to clean the surface where you want it (I have it on the left side of my DT770s), attach the first clamp then clip the mic on - took me all of 5 mins.

After using a crappy Speedlink clip-on, this is a solid upgrade if you ask me.
