Need navigation help (BHX Airport)

http://maps.google.com

The diversions will be clearly (hopefully, especially if it's a motorway) signposted.

E: Also I'm going to assume you have a smartphone, so you will probably be able to look up directions should you get lost.

Finally, it's only 50miles. That's hardly any distance at all. How long have you had your licence?

went there about a month ago and the diversion was at j6 you go left onto the a45 and then off at the next exit and back round onto the a45 back towards the airport then off the a45 to the airport as normal

Thanks for the link to Google Maps  but I am using AA Route Planner, although Google Maps and AA Route Planner don't include diversions :(

Google maps will show you how to get there and where the traffic is bad so you can avoid it. The diversions will be clearly signposted.

I was there the other day. The diversion just takes you up a length of bypass and back again as one of the slips is closed. Follow the diversion signs and you will be fine.

Edit - the diversion sign says 'Airport' so you can't go far wrong.

M1/M42 come off at signs and follow diversions. Instead of going right around the roundabout you go left, down a dual carriageway for 500 yards, off on the slip to roundabout and then come back on yourself which passes you under the M42 junction you came off on. It is really easy, just follow the signs.

So I would need to turn left on to A45 Coventry Road, keep left and go left on the round about, on to A452 Chester Road, keep going and then left at the next round about on to B4438?
Just looking on Route Planner now. Don't want to leave it til the last minute and end up getting lost.

You're worrying way too much. Follow the standard route, and the diversion is very very clearly signposted. When you start to see the signs, follow them.

(Not meaning to sound patronising there chap, it really is extremely well signposted).

:D Thanks. I tend to panic a little when driving long distances and routes change that I'm not familiar with so wanted to plan ahead :D

Thanks for everyone's help with this :)

Follow the damn signs! Enough people have told you already and clearly explained what to do.
