Hi I have just got my Rampage Extreme V, I have put Samsung XP941 256GB M.2 NGFF PCIe Solid SDD in but can I get it to boot, windows sees it when I install windows, all windows says I have to go to the bios and make it the boot drive!

I have enabled it went to Advanced, then on board devices configuration and from the pull down menu M.2

Still noting

HELP Anyone?

Latest mb BIOS? Remember seeing similar issues on gigabyte boards, might need to install win8 in uefi install aswell

You can do a uefi install of windows 8,Google it I don't know much about it tbh as I havnt done it myself yet,but it allows faster bootups and fixed m.2 boot issues

Dont know how the upgrade works but ideally i'd recommend just having the m2 plugged in and nothing else, maybe post on the microsoft forums if this is going to be a problem as there may be a workaround.

Hi just to say I got it to work, with a work around, installing Windows 7 on a old SSD and using that to upgrade to the Samsung;)
