Made the mistake of getting the motor factor to deliver some cheap Nitrile powder free gloves which are unbranded. They tear if you breathe on them.

I don't like those reusable Mechanix type gloves so we're down to the following nitriles :

Black Mamba ££££
Tiger Grip Gloves £££
Bodyguard £
Shieldskin 300 ££££

Anyone used any of the above? Black mamba appear to be a solid buy but my god £13 a box of 100!

Interested to see peoples responses to this one, I've been working my way through a cheapo box of gloves and they are pathetic :(

I use blue latex examination gloves :D they work well, but can tear if caught on sharp bits. I have some proper work grip gloves for non greasy/wet jobs too.

We use Ansell Nitrile gloves in the lab at work. They tested loads of them for strength, allergies, puncture strength, oil resistance etc and these were deemed the best.

I was given a load of Ansell Touch n Tuff nitrile gloves a while back. They were great. Need to find somewhere that sells them to get some more.

+1 we use these at work, (concrete industry) they are the best I have used over the years

I generally use nitrile gloves though got some latex ones as well and some thin fabric ones used at work too.

I need to check the brand of the nitrile's as I'll need some more soon and they're tough enough to use several times before they'll tear or rip. Only problem I have with them is when they get caught as I do up cable-ties and trying to do anything with duct tape while wearing them is asking for trouble ;)

When the black mamba's arrive I hope they're full gloves and not sets of individual fingers :D

Wurth nitrile ones. Only because a friend works for them and gets them cheap. Like most wurth gear the quality is high to match the price tag.

I use a mix of cheap aldi gloves like these, similar ones 'borrowed' from work & have a massive pack of Nitrile gloves which seem good quality, they're textured on the tips of the fingers and don't seem to rip easily. They're just in a clear plastic bag so no idea of the brand :(

When i'm working on cars i tend to use the textile ruberised gloves the most and chuck them in the washing machine every so often, i only tend to use the nitrile ones when i'm likely to get oily.

I use the NHS blue nitrile gloves. Never let me down unless on a particularly heavy job. i think I ripped one during the front shock removal on the E60.

Other than that, most of their use is when I'm washing the car...

I use the Bodyguard blue nitrile ones.
Good and inexpensive - £5 for 100.

I do have a pair of rubber coated orange builders gloves from Screwfix for those tougher jobs though.

I end up destroying most gloves, and much like a condom they ruin the feel :p I go no gloves and barrier cream wherever possible.
If I do end up using gloves its the NHS blue thing type ones.
