How loud are the Noctua IndustrialPPC 2000rpm fans?

Thinking of getting 2 of these for my h110 as I've just found out the stock fans on it are rubbish for static pressure.

hi I am using the 3000rpm ones at full whack they are VERY LOUD I keep em on a controller at 1000-1300rpm they still move a lot of air at an acceptable noise level

Always thought Noctua were too slow and could be faster during high loads.

I mean in a closed case a Noctua 120mm or 140mm fan cannot be heard.

The new 2k version seem best choice to me as I have had 2k fans in the past and the extra cooling/noise during say gaming or encoding video etc is fine.

I used Speedfan to set the CPU Temp to RPM ratios so during idle fan can be slowed right down.

Yeah I want to replace my fans as well, they start to rattle after 1000rpm which is quite anoying. I normally run them at 800rpm daily though.

Noise doesn't bother me that much unless they are insane, I have a desk fan that's louder than my PC anyway.

Have you considered Thermalright TY-143? Design is basically the same as NF-A14 & NF-A15 series fans as is performance.

TY-143 has 120mm fan mounting holes, but an adapter plate would solve that. Only other problem might be their 151x140mm size and if you have 5mm clearance on both sides of radiator.

i got 2 x 3000rpm on my h100 and they are very good apart from at start up when they sound like a boing 747 taking off!
Wish corsair would do something about the full speed start up thing :(
Might have to go back to my f12's if they dont.

Starting the fans at full speed before slowing down is usually a handy feature. Most lower speed fans will run slower than their starting voltage, so having them start at full speed before slowing down means you get reliable starting and slower speed running.

I wish my Asus motherboard would do this because it results in the CPU fan not starting most of the time. The duty cycle is fine when running, but this 120mm Noctua fan has a rather high starting voltage requirement.

My h110 hasn't arrived yet but I've gone for the two normal NF-A14s on pull and then 2 phanteks ones on push, which should increase the static pressure (and look better visible in the case) and allow lower rpm. I may consider the Industrial 2k ones though if the cooling isnt enough (though I doubt that)

I've got 2000RPM ones and I can't bear to use them for more than a few hours, they cool brilliantly though.

Going deaf are we lol, give me a custom loop anyday.

Silent - all my fans at about 700rpm including rad fans, super cool no worry about temps in hot spells.

Ny rad fans cost £7.99 each.:)

CPU and GPU'S 100% stable overclocked.:D

mine was so loud at 2000rpm i sent it back, don't see the point in running them 1/2 speed, i'd rather get a fan i can bear at full speed
