Asus ROG 780 TI or 980

Hey folks,

So what are peoples thoughts on this. I can pick up an Asus ROG 780 TI for a mere £350. The 980 I want is around £480. My rig is mainly ROG components and I'm not sure if they are making a ROG 980?

I've seen certain benchmarks that the ROG 780 TI beats the 980 in a few areas. What are your thoughts?

quite a difference in price! I'd get the 780Ti personally, as the 980 is just too much more expensive.

I am sure the 980's real world performance is nearly on par with a 780TI.

If you can afford either I'd say it's a no brainer, even at 1080p 3gb's will no longer be enough if you want to max titles and isn't that why you want a top end gpu in a top end ROG PC?

Personally I'd wait but of the two I'd go 980, I'd rather get a 6gb 780 Strix than a ti and maybe add a second for the added oomph later.

+1 on the 6gb 780, only reason I have not yet purchased anything from the 9XX series.
