Yup.

get that icebreaker bought. You can transfer anything. Just stick it in the vault and then log out and retrieve it as your other character.

This might force my hand to playing my level 21 hunter more to grind more coins etc

I still have the harder modes of Weekly challenge to do, let's see how that goes first.

Hmm might have to get the weapon from Xur, already got that Warlock chest piece (its a cracking piece for both subclasses imo - owns in PvP) and got another exotic helmet for my Titan - so guess thats all I'll buy though tempted to get a helmet engram as really after the Hunter one with radar that I missed and a good Warlock one that isnt the one that he's sold before.

ps3ud0

Might have to get on later (22:00), I need 8 strange coins to be able to get it.
I haven't done the nightfall or weekly heroic yet either so anyone up for it later give me a shout

Can anybody explain what the big deal about the Ice Breaker is? I currently have a legendary solar sniper rifle (final boss), I wouldn't say I'm a marksman I do most of my damage at close-mid range so I won't use it on PvP but I do find snipers useful when I need to play lame for example on Nightfall strikes. I don't think the ammo ability is that big of a deal as I don't find secondary ammo to be scarce in this game.. what am I missing here? I passed on the Suros Regime a few weeks back stupidly thinking a fully leveled up Shadow Price shouldn't be too far behind it in terms of quality and I don't want to make the same mistake twice.

Is the icebreaker really that good? I've already got a 300 atk sniper rifle, mainly for doing the strike bosses as I grind the strikes on both characters to get armour to break for shards. I've got 63 coins so can afford it but keep putting off buying things thinking something better will come next week. And...... I really want an exotic auto rifle.

It regenerates ammo automatically

No longer will you ever have to look for special ammo packs, just leave it and wait for the ammo to magically reappear. So useful on strikes like the nightfall where ammo can be scarce.

It also has the "Ice Breaker" perk that means people you shoot set themselves on fire, dealing damage to others nearby. Its awesome on every level.

I'm finding the last mission on the moon co-op to be a nightmare to finish the chained up beast I've tried 3times in the 3man group an just seems to take forever all 3times had to turn it off due too children an time restrictions

Any quick way too down this boss each times been over an hour trying

Also very useful when Juggler is active - if you are doing a PvE mission that makes use of a Sniper (there arent that many tbh) then you arent likely to be anywhere near your targets so ammo regen could get you out of a nasty situation.

Whats your strategy ?

Best way to defeat him is to run out of the door, and down to the left. Keep running all the way to the back. There you will find a rock you can use for cover.

Take a titan with you with the shield and use that to retreat into when things get too hot.

Avoid shooting the ads (additional enemies) and they will largely leave you alone, leaving you free to just chip away at him. These strikes are all about a strategy and finding some cover.

Take a 3 man group. Once in the room just before you see him, have one guy fall back to the previous corridoor with the steps. Have him keep an eye on the mini map. The other two sit at the door way hitting him with all you have. Once that floating thing spawns behind you (guy further back should call it) fall back to where he is, wait 20 seconds (Don't waste ammo on the wizard) it will vanish. Run back in and hit big guy hard again. It takes time but it defo works.

i was going to buy that chest piece but looks poor to me, hand cannon (i don't use) grenades (i have 216 grenades effect) you only get the grenades when you die?

Warlock helmet really good for me in nightfall, i kill loads with Voidwalker, my team mates get loads of orbs they can use super, i have unlimited heath picking up orbs left and i just repeat :)

What level are you?

The one thing you shouldn't do is stay in that room at the start and trying to pick him off. As suggested, go into the arena, down to the left and at the end of that side is a large rock you can hide behind.

Personally I think that its much easier to kill him if you dispatch all the minions etc as soon as they appear.

Just keep shooting him in the belly and he goes down pretty easy. It usually takes about 15 minutes total from start of mission to end on that when doing it on lvl24 strike.

You really shouldnt need to use this tactic unless you are matching the level difficulty to your characters. Even then Ive only ever used this while trying to get the Thorn...

Its doesnt get hard til the Wizards start spawning

Every time I respawn I have 2 grenades ready to use as a Sunsinger, that includes when moving through portals on the VoG from what Ive experienced - that chest is very useful...

Why on earth would you actively leave adds alive just to get some more pot-shots off on the boss? He's a damn bullet sponge. Unless you're doing the standard strike with 3 well geared high level characters all on the same page of killing him immediately you will get overwhelmed.

Hang around on the left side where all the rock cover is as it gives you the best protection. Kill adds the moment they spawn and ignore Phogoth. Once adds are dead, resume hitting Phogoth. Drop ships come in periodically mostly containing Thralls/Cursed Thralls and the odd Knight. The only spawns that you need to be careful of are the triple melee Knight spawn from the doorway behind you and any spawns including Wizards.

If all else fails and people are dying... just run around the map in circles, try not to die till people revive and do what you can.

As ps3udo says. No reason to use the corridor camping trick outside of the really high level ones if you're struggling with Wizards.
