Super Smash Bros, for Wii U and 3DS

Awesome - another rock solid AAA title.

It's a game that will last for years.

1080p 60fps and 8 player too.

Wii U just keeps getting stronger.

Up to 8 players

1080P will be nice, should keep things nice and clear when the camera is zoomed out.

The game is packed with content and features, lots of good stuff!. I can see this being played loads over Christmas with the family this year.

lol really that was live......

yey buy both versions for mewtwo lol :o

I think Directs are always pre-recorded.
Mewtwo will likely be available for purchase at some point... just 'for free' for those that have both games.

Wait, is it 1080P and 60fps?

Only got half way through it last night, so amazed! It looks huge!

Wasn't even excited untill I watched this last night. Nintendo knows how to hype me up. :D

Lots of modes but how many are applicable to online? Doesn't sound like many if any apart from the basics. Great for those with friends coming over but I feel less hyped.

Online will rock, don't you worry.

Yeah 8 player is local only. Damn, I need to find more friends.

My Wii U is 3 metres from my router and I have a solid 100mb cable connection with a low ping - just wondering if I should still buy the lan adapter? What does the Wii U do wirelessly? 30-40mb ish?

Yeah that's the thing with Smash, if you don't know a few people who you can play with regularly then you miss out on what the game is all about.
It's really not easy to get 3+ friends around that all want to play smash though, at least not on a regular basis and when you're older and a lot of your friends have 'grown out' of gaming.

I'm expecting the online will at least be improved from Brawls. I'm sure we'll see plenty of laggy matches but some good ones too(rare in Brawl). 'For Glory' mode should offer a more consistently smooth experience, being 2 players and no items.

I'm not really sure how good the ping is over Wii U's wireless, but I'm sure there will be plenty of info come Smash release regarding how much the LAN adapter benefits playing Smash online.
I feel that if you plan to play a lot online, it may be worth picking up a LAN adapter for release anyway. Whether it will be worth it will depend on how good Smash U's online is in general though.

Just to clear something up - friends that have grown out of gaming are actually collectively just called "people".

I find that avoids confusion.

lol yeah, or in my experience, "casual gamers".

Seems most people I know still talk a lot about games and buy them, but don't play them so much.
