Russian Grand Prix 2014, Sochi - Race 16/19

Well the championship has two competitors this year so it was either rosberg or hamilton.

I dont think lewis has been impressive at all. Ricciardo and bottas have performed better this year.

I disagree. DR only won in Canada due to Merc reliability and in Spa due to both Mercs coming together. I would go as far as to say he was fortunate in Hunagry too as Lewis had the engine fire so started from the pitlane. I have not seen any race performances from DR that stand above Lewis's. At least Lewis had to fight from last to P3 in both Germany and Hungary. P9 to P2 in Austria and P6 to 1st in Britian. It's easy to say he has the fastest car but it still requires the driver to get the job done and considering the misfortune he has had this year it's amazing he leads the title race.

As for Bottas he only finished on the podium in Spa, Brtitian and Germany becasue one the Mercs had a problem. His general finishing position he been on average 7th (discounting his DNF and podiums) so what has he done that makes you think he performance has been better than Lewis? No doubt you will accuse me of crying and throwing a b**ch fit because you have said something bad about Lewis but that is not the case. I am just pointing out you are wrong with your assessment.

Talking season performance, many teams have a clear higher performing driver to the tune of approx. double the points of their team mate but the one that stands out to me is Alonso vs Raikonnen, with that being the only partnership where one has three times the points of the other (toro rosso is close ish)

Lmao. I'd recommend the first single digit laps. And that's a push

I always supported Pirelli and the high deg tyres. But they do get bitched at for both. Credit to them for actually doing what was requested. Can't blame them too much for this race. Although I would prefer the opposite of the pitstops rather than 1 if I had to

Just read the posts about Clair Williams, i reckon she looks like a man in drag lol....

Now, Susie Wolf.... Well....

Todt blanks Alonso's handshake.....something not right there? Todt is surely over the whole Alonso going back on his deal with Ferrari before he joined Renault?

I agree but you have also highlighted why for me this is the best car is many many years. Throughout the Vettel years there where times he could be challenged for race wins but as you have shown this car is utterly dominant and has been all year.

It's not amazing he leads the title race, the only thing amazing about this year is the number of time Rosberg beat him on a saturday. That's the only surprise from the season. He's exactly where he should be. Rosberg has been awful this year, in fact worse that any year in lot's of areas compared to his previous years at mercedes. He has shown nothing in race craft, mistakes some of them a driver of his years in f1 shouldn't be making. Yet if hamilton had broken his leg at silverstone for example he would have won the title. THATS how goods this car is, that a driver who has been terrible could have won the title. At the very least Webber had races where he could beat his team mate on race pace with no misfortune.

Hamilton has destroyed Rosberg on pace this year but the ultimate pace of that Merc has been a hinderance to Hamilton in a way. No one can get in the way of rosberg and take enough points from him when he's average because even when he's average and making mistakes he can get 2nd. I think if the others where closer and Alonso could get in the mix like previous years then Hamilton would have this tied up ages ago even with his issues this year.
