Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare - £39.99
Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare - Season Pass only - £34.99

WTF i say that again WTF, £5 less for the full game and they charge that much just for the season pass ? thats gotta be a record breaking milking price.

P.s the community must be mentally retarded to pay those prices, i guess im one of them :(

Cod bashing on this forum is a bit silly sometimes. Why single out cod when plenty of games do a similar thing, if not exactly the same?

But yeah I agree about the prices for the older cods.

Yeah but come on not as much as the COD franchise, it's milked to death, and they know people will carry on buying it, it's a multi billion $ franchise which rakes in profits, just for adding a few skins and a story to a generation old engine.

most season passes are £19.99 or below

Go on origin and check the battlefield section.

£35 premium which is basically DLC and a few guns, then they have extras like gun unlock shortcuts which is over £30 when its not on sale, then they have the whole battlepack thing, yet people decide to complain about cod because they have a season pass.

Unless a game is something I really want, very rare nowadays, I wait till it's a price I'm happy to pay. I only bought Diablo 3 last week as it went under £15 which was the max I'd pay considering the torchlight games were that price originally.

Because CoD has done it for a long time, but to be fair, the muppets buying every single one are to blame as much as the developers and publishers..

Why do you consider people who enjoy a game franchise and buy them to be muppets? Does it shock you that much that people actually enjoy cod?

You would have to be a bit 'special' to buy unlocks/battlepacks. They aren't needed and can quickly be had just by playing.

The trend of charging these extras is largely down to the cod franchise which is why it gets so much stick.

Not really. Season passes were around before cod started doing it.

And yeah sure, I would never buy unlocks/battlepacks but I'm sure there are people out there who do.

Good job you don't play world of warcraft then.
Each expansion lasts around 2 years, costs around £35, plus £9 a month sub.
That is £251 if you play all year round for the whole expansion.
I have played it since 2006 :(

Missing out that you can get it cheaper if you buy 6 months subscription instead of paying the £9 a month. And not really sure you can compare an MMORPG to a season pass.

There are already 4 versions of Far Cry 4 on uPlay, the cheapest being £50. Even on Amazon the "normal" version is £40 I think.
