Get the Galax GTX 970 above.
GTX780 is about 10% slower, R9 290 is about 10% slower too and the XFX model isn't the best, and R9 290X while as fast as a GTX970 has stock cooler which is meant to be super hot and loud, and card is mega power hungry in comparison.

tbh if your going to get the 970 your better off spending £13 more for this

Was about to post the very same thing.
The Galax mentioned earlier has a reference cooler and will be louder.
The OC model will be quieter, comes with an all metal shroud and a backplate to boot.
The reference coolers on my 980s are so close to silent I wouldn't bother trying to get quieter. I like the fact that they don't dump hot air in my case.
My old 7970 was a leafblower by comparison to the 980s at full load, hell the 980s are quieter than my 7990.

Some astonishing value there. But I would still be getting a 970.
