Which rubbish designer was responsible for the HTC charger design? It's awful. It protrudes so much from the wall socket after it's been plugged in.

Why can't they have a slim plug design like Apple?

Every non Apple charger seems to have the same design.

I replaced my HO M7 and my N10 charger with the Anker 40W 5-Port charger and it's a lot more tidy, perhaps you should consider something similiar.

Looks like these are on offer again, £15.99 when you use 7UKJ954R.

It does seem like a useful thing considering some chargers may not output enough charge for some of the newer phones / tablets.

Though you have to bear in mind the quality of the micro USB cable in terms of how much charge the cable can handle. Here's a discussion about it: http://www.reddit.com/r/LifeProTips/comments/1yoe2a/lpt_know_why_your_smartphone_is_charging_slowly/

It's worth getting one for the household. Will it be sufficient for:
- My HTC One M7
- Fiance's iPhone 5s
- Fiance's iPad

Won't the wrong voltage/amp rating ruin the batteries?

These own. :p

Look for any that say IQ or similar like the Anker, it will only give the right amps to what the device requires. I have charged an iPad 2, LG Gpad 8.3, iPhone and my Samsung S3 all at the same time and at full speed, no problems.

They'll just pull whatever amperage they need - the problem would be if the voltage was too high.

I use Blackberry travel chargers for everything. They're 2A and miles better than any others.
