Afternoon Tea - Knightsbridge area.

I was in Knightsbridge last weekend. I thought I'd been dropped into into the centre of the middle east.

Not just the middle east, there is a wide variety of cultures in central London. I think less than 10% of people I overheard speaking were using English.

London was fun, but hell I wouldn't want to live there/work there. Far too busy for me. Hyde Park was nice though.

It's the tail end of the summer so all the Arabs are still out to play.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest really, the odd chrome plated Aventador makes me a laugh.

Theres this really nice place I cant remember the name of it

They serve the most cracking cup of tetleys I have ever tasted, I dont know how they do it

I understand that the sarnies and stuff you get are tasty, but I can't help but think these 'afternoon tea' things are so incredibly poncey....

Would it be morally wrong to have afternoon tea in the morning?

What would be the score here? How would this be portreyed to someone passing by?

Hi.

I stayed at the Mandarin Hotel last week for 3 days, not a cheap place at all. £570 per night. Anyway the food served at the Mandarin resturant was amazing, not the cheapest but extremely good quality. Not sure about afternoon tea as I didnt try that, but the Mandarin in general was very good.

Cringe.

Ah so it is what I thought it was, cheers. Not sure it's my type of thing really, just looks like a small, posh mini-lunch for rich folk.

Is it more for the occasion and experience of being pampered? Or is it to simply keep with the old english traditions?

Give me a home brew and a biscuit in the comfort of my own lounge any day, or a brandy and a biff for that matter.

What's a biff?
