US: The Walking Dead Season 5 (contains spoilers)

I'm so happy that they did the scene that way. I cringed initially because I was expecting them to continue the tropes of bullets make flammable liquids/gasses combust. It was extremely refreshing to see that the bullet just ruptured the tank.

Hmmm, I cringed that she was able to judge the exact trajectory to directly hit the tank.

Great first episode though.

lol, it was a hell of a shot to hit first time with something as unpredictable as a firework stuck in a gun barrel casually leaned against a fence :D

Who cares, it was awesome :p

I was an avid fan of The Walking Dead but I got completely bored out of my head early in season 4 (~ep 2/3) and gave up with it. Is it worth picking up again then?

I cringed so much at the firework shot. But then again, I've come to expect things like that from this show.

1st episode was brilliant, would be good if they could at least include a few more ones like that before the inevitable mid season break.

if you have ever shot rockets like that you would know its not that hard to aim :p

must say i was ready to be disappointed but what a episode !

one of the best i seen in walking dead. nice to get it back to where it should be. grimes da boss :D

Awesome episode, glad it's back on!

I couldn't help think when they was being slaughtered like pigs was they going to use the blood to make black pudding? I love black pudding! Lol :D

Oh that was brutal. When they were knocking them out with baseball bat and cutting their throats. You just don't forget that sort of scene.

Very good episode though, at least we know what the plan is with the scientist. create a virus to kill the zombies. oh yea.

So brutal at the end when you see what caused the people to become cannibals.

re firework, to see a firework like that cause an explosion is something that you would see in a comic book.

I thought it would make sense if she fired the firework at the gas, but she just sort of lit it pointing upwards, then bang. I know you get pieces of fireworks falling back down when they go pop, but that seemed a bit of a longshot.

Well if the bullets hitting the tank made sparks, then it would go bang. What's wrong with that?

The anti-virus, virus thing... If it attacks the zombie virus and kills them, how does it effect everyone else since everybody is infected?

You'd better hope Spoffle doesn't see this post ;)

Awesome episode start, Carol the badass.

I didn't quite understand the final 'THEN' bit where the terminus people were in the train car. Is that where they are currently or was that some sort of flashback for them?

I see. Bit of a drastic jump. "oh we were kept prisoner once so we just eat everyone we come across as vengeance".

Not quite.
They were treated worse than cattle and amongst other things, the women were randomly taken to be raped and god knows what else...

Terminus was originally a haven as depicted on the signs leading to it. The men responsible for those acts were originally welcomed with open arms and then proceeded to take advantage of their kindness/weakness with brutal cruelty.
They figured that in this world, you're either 'the butcher or the cattle' before managing to overthrow them.

It's a bit of a leap from there to cold blooded, organised cannibalism, sure. But you can see why they got to the point where it was a case of **** everyone else and trust no one after what they went through.

Might be some kind of religious/fanatical cult undertone too, I mean that room filled with names and candles was total creepsville.
