If this is not a scam it will be the best kitchen device ever for many indian families, however I don't know why but I have a gut feeling its some sort of scam!

It sounds like a lot but many indian families eat "roti's" aka chapati's every night with dinner. They are no good cold so the family sit and eat dinner while the mum is in the kitchen making them while everyone else eats.

I just showed several of my Indian co-worker that YT clip and the office was treated to a chorus of "****** how much?" in response.

From which I draw the conclusion that even well-paid Indian graduate engineers living overseas consider US $600 is way too much money to pay for such a device.

Fairly obvious it isn't intended for the average Indian. It's not even being sold in India.
