Hi All,

I am building a PC for a friend. His Current Requirements are:

- Run Software Development Programs ( e.g. Netbeans)
- Photoshop
- Gaming (Not Often but would like a smooth experience)
- General Use

He currently does not need:

- Monitor (Standard 1080)
- Keyboard & Mouse
- OS (Windows 7 Pro)

He Does need:

- Strong Wireless Adapter
- Storage Drive
- SSD

So his budget is around £1200 and I will be building it for him. I currently have come up with the current spec and was wondering if you guys agree with the build or even can better it?

He doesn't really have a theme in mind but I came up with a white and black theme build

Let me know what you guys think / should change & Add

Thanks

Love the ram, but not to sure on the Graphics card? (Due to the poor ratings & Google Search)

Thanks for the suggestions.

Just get a 970 that has a black pCB.

Or if you want to save money there is a GTX780 for £193 now.

I'm pretty sure you can get a 5820k bundle with the TC12DX included. That will save you a little money.

Also as I doubt he'd go SLI if he doesn't game a lot (ands its only 1080p) you can get a smaller 550w superflower PSU.

Those should give you avbut of money to play with..

I find a lot of people stead clear of Corsair products here. I don't think I could do a build in anything other than a Corsair case these days. Is there a perceived downside to their products that I don't know about?

It's only really the power supplies. Unless purchasing an AX unit, which used to be Seasonic, they're not worth it. Superflower all the way!

Brilliant thanks for the specs guys. Defo thinking we could sneak a x99 build in there, will give him a shout and see if he can free some more funds for that 970
