Was I imagining it or was there no silent switch on the ipad air 2?

It's been removed.

Also I just noticed the Air 2's are only 16/64/128GB as well, and the original Air is now only 16/32GB. Given the prices are staying I should be paying less to upgrade than the previous year since the 64GB will be the price the 32GB one was.

I'm in no rush to pre-order though.

Most of it seems fine, the only potential "concern" will be performance with the retina iMac. Certainly not going to be shifting my machine in a rush, but no doubt it's great, and certainly great value (as robbiemc said in the post below).

However, just noticed that the mini 3 is only an A7, so it's exactly the same device, just Touch ID. £80 more for that, unless I'm missing something? Surely that makes the mini 2 32GB the sweet spot. Dual core only Mac minis? So buying an old machine is by miles a better choice if you want a cheap powerful Mac.

5k iMac is a decent price. I bought my iMac 18 months ago for £2200 which was top i7 and 3tb fusion.
The equivalent 5k is £2300, so pretty impressive really.

I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks in person.

re the 2gb iPads - if they had updated the RAM I'm quite sure they would have at least put that on the spec list on the presentation graphic.
Sadly I can't see the amount of Ram listed on the Air 2 tech specs page...odd.

They've never listed the amount of RAM for an iOS device.

Or just buy the Dell 27" monitor and use, hmmm I dunno a power cable? :S

Got a link for the Dell? Is it 5K? If so, what connector does it use?

I would love that new 5k res but in a 30"+ size. Seems odd when I envisage that many pixels in the space of my current 27" 1440x2560 monitor. Would be nice if the extra pixels were a bit more spread out.

Can't unsee the home button on the new ipad Air 2 that isn't vertically centred. Christ that would infuriate me daily. I should get out more... :(

The iPad Mini has been relegated to iPod Touch territory after a couple of years by the looks of it - I guess it's the phablet effect.

It was announced at the start of September, due for release any time soon, press release states that it needs 2x Display Ports 1.2 connections to run at full res, which makes sense given that it's driving almost 15 million pixels.

iPad Mini 3 is a horrible product, no clue why it doesn't have the A8X inside of it. Basically painted the rMini and gave it touchID.

Thinking to pick up the Air 2 and Nexus 9 and seeing which I like more.
