Ok so my brand new 980 GTX G1 only has a black screen? won't boot.

Hey guys,
So I got home today and was super excited to get my new 980GTX g1 from overclockers.

However it will not boot.

I have the following setup :

Enermax 850w PSU.
Intel Core i7 3930K s2011 OEM
ASUS SABERTOOTH X79 MoBo s2011
I'm hoping the card isn't DOA, but I honestly don't know what else I can try. It's the first time i've ever had this happen with a card.

Try other PCI-e slots , research weather you need to update the motherboards bios. Does the cards fans spin up ?

Yeah the card fans spin fine and the card lights up.

Update your motherboard bios if you're on one of the early one's and see if that cures the problem.
