What happened should not have happened. There are around two million people in the UK registered as blind (I don't know how many fewer rely on dogs).
However, this is not news. This is not outrage. This is not offensive. Someone's messed up - it is far from their finest hour.
However, it has been dealt with, doubtless staff have been given a dressing down and the customer has been shown some good will. But apparently an apology is demanded, and only if it comes from the right department and store.
Less hysteria and more personal empathy would deal with these situations far more effectively. Slow news day.
