Ordered 2x 970's (£624) <40 mins ago & now dropped in price...

Hello all,

I've got a little order problem. Not sure in which thread this goes...

After spending the best part of the day deciding on which 970 to go for I finally made a decision & ordered the last 2 Strix's that were in stock.
Now that they're out of stock (until Monday/<3 days), the price has dropped by £23.98 to £299.99...

Is there anything I can do?
A refund on the difference perhaps?
Hopefully there's a rep monitoring the forums that can help.

Given that my order won't be processed until tomorrow and delivered until Monday at the earliest, I think it's only fair to refund the difference.
Else I may just cancel & reorder here/elsewhere/not at all.

I've raised a web note but not sure when they'll respond.
I'll give them a call first thing tomorrow and see what they say.
 
OCUK Customer service is second to none. I have never been let down by them and id bet neither will you.

I sure hope so.

A lot of people say they've had bad experiences with customer services, others say they swear by them.

This will be my first dealing with them. Hope they're as good as you say.
It may just make me switch to them as my #1 go to component store :)

lol... gutted. contact them, they may do something for you given you ordered them so close to the price drop.
 
the other thing is - the price might have dropped because the next batch they have coming in is at a better price, the 2 left on stock that you ordered were bought at a higher price, hence why the price dropped as soon as you ordered because the next person to pre-order is ordering from the next batch

they might just tell you to cancel the order and wait for those 2 to go again if you want the new price

I figured that's the reason and if that's my only option then I will wait/switch the order for Monday's batch.

Will just have to call them at 9am and update the thread accordingly.

This has happened to me 3 times now and a friendly post in the customer services section has resulted in a refund of the difference every time.
That's why I keep coming back.
 
Had to have the order cancelled entirely as I used Amazon payments through checkout.
Unfortunately that was the only payment method working for me at the time.
Oh well. CS was nic/helpful enough.
 
So what your saying Mr Hornet is OCUK have stung you? Now you know how we feel when you do it us while out enjoying a picnic.

I got some speakers which the day after dropped in price by a tenner. I asked for the difference back on a phone call and the bloke said tough basically then hung up on me. Put me in a pretty bad mood that morning.
