Ordered 2x 970's (£624) <40 mins ago & now dropped in price...

I got some speakers which the day after dropped in price by a tenner. I asked for the difference back on a phone call and the bloke said tough basically then hung up on me. Put me in a pretty bad mood that morning.

Cancel order.
Re-order.

Job done.

I don't understand why? Surely you were happy paying the price listed prior to the drop.

That's hardly the point though is it. For the price to drop before they even ship the product out to you?

Basically though it's not 'tough' because you could just return it under DSR or cancle the payment, or refuse delivery. The store should simply refund the difference out of respect for the customer, and if they act like they are the ones doing you a favour you should just say you want a refund and shop elsewhere.

Customer service and treatment is important to me. If I feel they treated me badly or were unfair I'm less likely to buy from them again in future. When I pay money for reasonably expensive goods I expect a certain level of care from the seller and support when all isn't well. If I don't get that why should I trust them with more money in future.

Cool story bro.
Just wondering, might have mentioned it earlier in this thread. You're a prime candidate for the question as you hold such strong opinions ;)

If the price would have risen after you had ordered, would you phone up the shop offering up the extra £?

Good CS is one of biggest reason I shop here. Another etailers refused a DSR on a 780 lightning cause I redeemed the watchdogs code that came with it. I used to visit that etailers site everyday for prices and deals and the such. Haven't been on it in over 6 months.

Exactly my point.

Are you crazy XD

But I don't expect the price to decrease just after I've purchased the product. It's hardly fair.
I realise they would have bought different batches for different prices but it still makes the customer feel like they've been cheated.

Anyway, I've got my cards and new PSU coming tomorrow. Can't wait :D
