TITANZ PRICE DROP: NOW FROM £1199 !!

Nvidia's extreme consumer milking experiment failed, only reason the price is down.

It's old tech that needs clearing that's all, things move fast in the industry unless you're AMD.

Kind of disgusting the mark up they had.

I said the same about AMD when they reduced the price of FX9590 from £800 down to £230, a nearly 400% markup. Thank god for "Saint AMD" for not partaking in such evil practices as NVidia do. :p

Is it just me whose bawls completely retract to nestle along side my kidneys at the prospect of lashing out 1300 quid on ONE card?

That.....right there.....is basically my car

FLOL!

By the logic in here they have halved the price from release date therefore every highend card released is a complete ripoff. As almost every card ends up around half price at the release of new cards or pre release of new cards of the same stature.

Nothing unusual about that, it happens every year, new tech comes out, old tech sees massive price reduction. Unless you're AMD.. Then you just rebrand old tech and keep selling it :p

For the frugal, those who do not need the very latest, the best time to buy to pick up a GPU is just after a major release, the previous high end cards go for crazy prices relative to their performance, seen brand new GTX 780's for around £200 etc..

My point is every production line certain percentage that needs to sell for x price until the line breaks even in production cost the. If the said manufacturers sell cheaper the whatever the price could be cause then large overheads ie in gpu costs such as design and marketing have been paid already.

Nvidia pretty quicky changed their marketing strategy with this one. To begin with they pitched it towards scientific research and development then a month or so down the line we started seeing gaming performance at a resolution that hasnt been standardised yet. I'm not sure exactly who the Titan-Z is aimed at  but nice job at bringing the price down OcUK.

Surely with the low temp output of the GTX970 and 980 Dual GTX 970 and GTX 980 would be quite easy to do ? Maybe nvidia have them in the works.

This price is much better but I'm not happy with it still, I am still pushing for better and holding partners to ransom. :D

The prices I've set are on a wim based on NVIDIA funding coming to us. Tomorrow I can work it out exactly per each brand and as I hinted earlier I am actually hoping to get them below £1000 with vat so cheaper than USA pricing. :D
