Any way of finding out who blocked a handset

Long story short.

Bought a handset on Ebay in June.

Got blocked in October. Ebay and paypal will not help. Person i bought it off will not help and says he bought it off someone else on ebay (Even though his listing contradicts that)

I know its probably a long shot but if i can find out which network blocked it i can prove i bought it legitimately and that it was blocked as a fraudulent insurance scam.

Is there any hope or am i stuck with a fancy MP3 / media player?

Ask the seller who they bought it from and follow that chain.

If un-cooperative, then threaten with Paypal dispute or police action. Neither may be practical... but you have few options from here.

If you look at the ebay seller's own buying history then you may be able to see if he has previously bought the device i.e. is telling the truth.

Seller won't help. Or even reply now.

As it was on the 16th of June I only had 45 days 'protection' (this changed to 180 days on the 17th June ..... Typical). PayPal don't wAnt to know and won't help.

Have threatened seller with actionfraud and PayPal etc but to no avail.

Why don't you phone the Mobile providers and ask?

That was going to be my suggestion too, if you can convince them that you bought it legitimately you may have a chance.

The problem is I don't know which it was blocked with.

Is there any way of finding out?

You have been using the phone so start with the provider you have been using ?

The clue was in the suggestion to phone the providers?

It is not hard is it to pick up a phone and call them starting with the obvious, EE, Three, Vodafone etc etc
