Hi All
Im not a huge expert on GPU's so was hoping for some advice.
I currently have a MSI GTX 760. I have a MSI Big Bang Xpower Mobo with an i7 3930K which is water cooled with a XSPC kit.
I want to add water cooling to the GTX 760 but the only XSPC waterblock i can find is in USA. Although this isnt a major issue i just wanted advice on weather a single more powerful GPU would be better than a lower spec but SLi setup. Plus i would only need to get one waterblock !
My budget for a GPU is approx £250 so GTX 760 SLi or single better GPU.

Any advice much appreciated

Generally single GPU is the better option unless you can't keep scaling with single so then you add on more. The reason is SLI has a variety of issues and not all games support it.

SLI is, of course, much more dramatic looking in a case ;)

I've not tried checking performance for each specific option you've given, hopefully someone else will do that :)

Having gone from sli 670 to a single 780 I was happy enough with the move. 670 and 760 are very similar, (albeit im now on sli 780). Max fps were down but minimums and averages were pretty similar. Also more vram on the 780, less heat and less power if your fussed about power usage. Also what res are you playing at and what brand/size wattage is your psu as this will need to be taken into account with sli.

Please elaborate on this comment of games at 1080p needing more than 3gb
I have a gtx 780 and have never run out of ram @2560 x1440.

Observations made watching you tube videos of people running 970's in the the likes of Shadow of Mordor, Watch Dogs and Ryse. Will all use more than 3Gb of vram at 1080p.

Its a sign that modern games will do the same.
