Hi guys getting towards the end of my build ( there will be a build thread but waiting for it to be finished!)

I've got all the componenets fitted and if anyone has any suggestions on fan orientation or anything else that would be great.
It's a 4790k cooled with a XSPC Raystorm block and a 290x cooled with an xspc Razor watereblock and backplate.

The radiators are 240mm alphacool ST30
and a 280mm Alphacool XT45

with an EK D5 100 vario pump/res combo

i assume thats all ok? i'm going for rigid acrylic tubing 13mm with primochill ghost fittings now that there finally here. I have a picture of my current set up if this helps. i'll post what i come up with soon.

it doesn't really matter that much dude - I'd choose the path of least tubing tbh over the minute performance difference you'll get.

PUMP > GPU > CPU > RADS

It'll look a hell of a lot tidier!

Thats mine, all that space to the right and you could have the output from the top rad simply feeding to the front rad, then to the pump - nice and clean.

I believe the water temp stays the same throughout the system anyways so it doesn't make much difference - its the rads cooling them that do ;)

Order doesn't matter, just go for what gives you the cleanest tubing runs.

One thing to bear in mind is if the Raystorm CPU block has in/out ports they need to be connected properly according to coolant flow, for proper performance.

hahaha that's perfect mate looks great! does the cpu temp not rise much?
is that cooled by one radiator?

Yeah, one slim koolance 280mm rad. I dont overclock my gfx card and run my cpu at 4.5ghz 24/7.

One word of warning i will give you about the 750d is that its not as good as a 650d or 540air at bringing in cool air from the front. I have noticed an ever so small increase in temps since switching to this case from them previous two. But then again i rarely stress test my system anymore and always keep the top dust filters on lol.

Acrylic tubing will make your build even tidier though mate. Glhf and i highly recommend an aquaero 5 or 6 unit for both monitoring and fan control ;) enjoy

Ps. Check out moonmans cpu block reviews on xs systems forums. Am sure there was better performance mounting the xspc block at an angle

I'll defiantely check out that review .
And investigate block mounting as that sounds interesting.
I like the layout of yours I just cant work out yow to incorpartae the top radiator.

BTW what sort of idle temps are you getting?

Sorry to pester you.

BTW also forgot to ask how did you manage to Mount your pump/result with the standard Mount bracket? Did you drill additional holes? I couldn't work out how to Mount it so I ended up buying the ok tube clips but I've only got 1 on as the other one doesn't fit the spacing.!?

I'd much rather use l bracket as its way sturdier so any help would be awesome

Sorry to bump this thread again i found your site for comparisons but the picture of the best orientation for the xspc block is down, do you remember seeing what it was?

your not pestering bud - glad to help if I can. My Idle temps sit about 28-ish I think) - sorry its been so long I hardly use my PC these days. Think it gets switched on like two hours a week or somat lol. I also throttle my fans down to keep the sound down so my system wouldn't be a good idea of performance.

I've got a different pump to you (I use the DDC EK pump), but yeah the pre-drilled holes didn't fit. I used one of the existing holes and drilled a second hole parallel to it - Didn't take long and wasn't that hard to do.

Sorry buddy I can't remember! - I changed over to the EK Supremacy shortly after that article (I had my Raystorm from launch and needed a change). I'll check through some old pics I've got and get back to you this afternoon.

All the pics I have of my previous systems show the XSPC block being mounted normal way bud, looks like thats the best method as I would have gone by moonman's recommendation.

My block is mounted with the inlet port on the right is that the same way?

I've figured out how to incorparate the front rad from using your picture i'll have to do a quick sketch up once im home from work , but thanks for all your help! i might even try drilling an extra hole for ther original bracket mount as i dislike that the pump could come out using the tube holder which doesn't fill me with confidence!

hi did another quick skethup does this seem a lot better and less messy?
eJ9VOWZ.jpg

blue is going out of the pump and red is heading back to the pump
i've ordered 4 rotary fittings to help obvisouly there may be a few extra bends to lign it up better but its hard to show in a 2d picture

Yeah I can't see which way round it is, but make sure you have the flow going in the correct port, but I would spin the block round so you had the inlet on the left if it's the other way round at the moment.

would not have the flow going to GFX the CPU, GFX cards run hotter than most CPU's like to so you will be heating up your cpu

It's actually going CPU - GPU -Pump if that helps i totally forgot about the inlet on the right hand side of the pump/res that would make it a lot neater thanks guys!
this is what i needed been racking my brains for ages at it!
