Here we go then – it’s time for a slice of retro Codies arcade racing like out of the nineties with our new game Toybox Turbos! Bursting with multiplayer fun to share with your friends and family, Toybox Turbos takes you to kitchen tables, pool halls and science labs in this manic, miniaturised table top racer!

Essentially a new but unlicensed Micro Machines game, the screens look great, like an updated version of Micro Machines V3 and I for one cannot wait for it to be released! Looks like it's only coming out on PC, PS3 and 360, possibly with Xbox One and Playstation 4 ports based on how successful it is. According to Eurogamer it's due for release "soon" and will be available on Steam for £11.99. It'll have 4 player local co-op and online multiplayer with an unconfirmed number of players. It'll launch with 18 tracks and 35 vehicles. :)

Micro Machines : No game in history has ever induced so much rage but been so addictive at the same time. I remember it costing me about 6 Megadrive pads :D

This looks class.

It looks visually so good, so much charm to the environments :D Plus looks like it includes a lot of the older track themes such as the pool table and breakfast in the kitchen!

It has the old science lab tracks too! I remember one level used to be in a garden, you could make a dog whelp if you drove into it. :D

Surely you lot should know better.

The first thing we should be asking is have they replicated the handling or "Updated the handling for todays gamer"?

This could very easily fall into the category of "too much polish" which makes a rough diamond suddenly look like like every other diamond and thus no longer as appealing.

Release date is the 12th November.

looks good, but think i will wait until i see some reviews, codemasters recent past games havent really impressed me as much as i hoped they would.

hmmmm. Looks a bit low-rent. Wish they'd gone for high-quality 2d, rather than iPad 3d.

Maybe I'm just biased through having very little love for the 3d MMs. The 16-bit 2d ones were immense, though.
